'Girl Meets World' season 2 spoilers: Riley faces insecurities as she meets Cory and Topanga

As the 16th episode of "Girl Meets World" season 2 draws near, several spills have been leaked for fans to enjoy before the show airs.

"Girl Meets Cory and Topanga," the 16th episode, is said to merge "Boy Meets World" into its story line. Fans are still debating as to how the said merge will affect the story line and what the producers are really planning to make the episode a hit.

While fans have been given some small flashback clips of Boy Meets World in some of the previous episodes where beloved characters of the 90s come back to the screen, the upcoming episode will focus nonetheless on the young Cory and Topanga.

According to Carter Matt, fans of Boy Meets World should prepare for nothing but pure nostalgia. The outlet reports that Riley (Rowan Blanchard) will be struggling with some insecurities as she questions whether she will turn out to be just as amazing as her parents were. She confides in Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and shares with her BFF how she thinks her parents are perfect and have everything in their lives figured out.

The two journey back to the past to find out who the real Cory and Topanga were before, how the two made decisions, and how they were once just learning about life, just like Riley and Maya now.

In the short clip shared by the outlet, it seems Riley and Maya will be brought to the middle school days of Cory and Topanga in Boy Meets World.

According to Realty Today, Disney's decision to relive the memories of the youngsters in Boy Meets World in the upcoming installment is a good way of introducing the show to new audiences who have come to love Girl Meets World.

It is yet unclear if some other familiar faces will be back in the next episode, but fans are encouraged to watch out what happens when the episode airs at Disney Channel on Friday, Sept. 18.
