'Girl Meets World' Season 3 Spoilers: Series Renewed By Disney for Another Season
Fans of the Disney Channel series "Girl Meets World" will be happy to know that the series will be returning with a third season.
It was reported that "Girl Meets World" will begin its production as early as January 2016. The upcoming season is expected to see the characters of the series tackling a whole new playing field: high school.
With that, Riley, played by Rowan Blanchard, will soon be taking on more mature issues, along with her best friend, Maya, played by Sabrina Carpenter. Joining them in their new chapter in life are Farkle, played by Corey Fogelmanis and Lucas, played by Peyton Meyer. They will soon be experiencing their coming-of-age as they learn new things in high school and take the viewers on a bumpy laughter ride.
Currently in its second season, "Girl Meets World" is a spin-off series of the 90s show called "Boy Meets World." With that, fans have high hopes for the new season as it was said that the most exciting times in the original series took place in high school.
"Girl Meets World" was created by April Kelly and Michael Jacobs. The executive vice president of programming for Disney Channel Adam Bonnet recently commended Jacobs on the series.
He said to The Wrap, "Jacobs has one of the most authentic voices in television today. He and the entire 'Girl Meets World' team will not only continue to entertain families but also help kids discover who they are and who they want to be in this world."
There has yet to be news on when the third season of the series will air. However, season 2 of "Girl Meets World" is expected to conclude with the finale titled "Girl Meets New Year" on Disney Channel this Dec. 4.
