'Girl Meets World' Season 3 Spoilers: New Chapter For Cast With High School, Expect A 'Season Of Feelings'

Season 2 of "Girl Meets World" isn't over yet but reports about its third season are already trickling in. According to Christian Today, spoilers for the confirmed new season have surfaced over the web. It is said that season 3 will cover more mature topics as the main characters, Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard) and her best friend Maya Hart (Sabrina Carpenter) enters high school.

The two will be growing up and it's not going to be as easy as it looks especially since they are in a complicated love triangle. According to Ecumenical News, the show ended 2015 with the "Girl Meets New Year" episode wherein Farkle Minkus (Corey Fogelmanis) revealed to everyone that Riley still has feelings for Lucas Friar (Peyton Meyer). Apparently, she's not the only one as Maya also developed the same feelings for Lucas.

This has led fans to wonder who Lucas will choose especially since he is also growing up. Many are also curious how it will affect the friendship of the two girls. They will really be tested as they both contest for Lucas' heart. Will they remain as best friends or will their friendship be ruined for having the same feelings on the same boy?

But fans should know that the issue would not be resolved anytime soon. In a tweet by @GMWWriters, it is revealed that season 2 is a "season of growth" while season 3 will be a "season of feelings." It would definitely make sense considering they will be encountering new situations, new friendships, new environment and even new relationships in high school.

Cartermatt reported that season 3 episode 1 of "Girl Meets World" is predicted to be titled "Girl Meets High School." But many are looking forward to catching the episode titled "Girl Meets Triangle," which is easily considered to be about the relationship between Maya, Lucas and Riley.

Until then, fans can watch out for the last two episodes of the current season, with the first one, titled "Girl Meets STEM," to air on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016.
