'Girl Meets World' Season 4 Still A Possibility? New Season to Be Announced Soon?
Fans were brokenhearted when it was announced that "Girl Meets World" season 3 would be the end of the spinoff series. However, new reports suggest that there may still be hope for a fourth season.
According to recent reports, the renewal of "Girl Meets World" season 4 may be announced in a couple of months. Series creator Michael Jacobs reportedly said in a recent interview that talks for a renewal are up with other networks. However, fans will have to wait for further announcements.
It appears that Jacobs is not happy with his show's cancellation. Disney Channel made the announcement earlier this year. While there were good words for the series when the network axed the show, it appears that Jacobs is now starting to reveal his true thoughts about the show's cancellation.
According to The Wrap, Jacobs revealed in January that he disagrees with Disney's decision. "I don't think 'Girl' should have been canceled. We signed to do four seasons. I thought we would be able to tell stories through four seasons. That's the way we set it up," he explained.
Jacobs added that "Girl Meets World" season 4 was supposed to be "remarkable." On the other hand, the series creator clarifies that he understands "things end." Still, Jacobs revealed that there are some networks interested in picking up the show.
Unfortunately, the outlet noted that Netflix is not going to pick up the canceled series. Details are unknown as to why the streaming giant has refused to redeem the show. On the other hand, it appears that there are still other platforms that would show interest for "Girl Meets World."
Rumor has it that the fourth season was canceled by Disney due to its shift in the storyline. It is said that the series has recently decided to feature more mature stories and this could have been the issue that the child-friendly network had. Disney has yet to officially address the matter.
