Girls Generation News: Performs for First Time in Major Show Without Jessica Jung
Girls Generation performed in a major show for the first time without Jessica Jung.
The girls sang "Mr. Mr." at the Gayo Daechukje festival, which was hosted by co-member Yoona. The performance which was uploaded on YouTube gained criticisms from the fans.
Commenter Syaza Hussain wrote: "This is not SNSD anymore," wrote Syaza Hussain. "All of them look tired and some can't control their voices. The song suddenly sounded horrible. I used to enjoy their Mr Mr performances at Music Bank and such but ever since Jessica left, it doesn't sound nice."
Avida Kiyomi added: "Hyoyeon is the ONLY member you can see that there's passion while performing, all other members look like hell. They don't look like GG anymore. I can't feel that they are a senior group & they are professionals."
Other commenters defended Girls Generation saying that nothing changed even though Jung left the group. Speculations rose that Jung is set to debut as a solo performer in the U.S. The former Girls Generation member recorded a song with Jermaine Jackson in a studio.
The clip was uploaded on Instagram by events and sports senior manager Reggie Martin of Venetian Macau, China. The video was captioned: "Jessica Jung a Korean star and Jermaine Jackson from legendary group Jackson 5 the brother of Michael and Janet Jackson making magic happen in the studio. What a amazing experience to see a icon in action. Stay tuned for 2015. #greatness."
Jung has not released an official statement about the said clip. The former Girls Generation member was kicked out from the group early this year. Jung launched her own fashion brand BLANC & ECLARE, which caused conflicts with the group's schedule.
Jung is now busy organizing events to meet up fans for her fashion line. At a recent fan signing event for BLANC & ECLARE, Jung said that she will be opening up a new fashion range for her avid followers.
