'Girls' Last Tour' Episode 3 Spoilers: Chito and Yuuri's Adventures Through an Empty World Continue

The world continues to expand for Chito and Yuuri, but how long will it continue to be empty on the Japanese dystopian anime series, "Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou (Girls' Last Tour)"?

After getting lost in an abandoned underground factory for days, then being reminded of a significant past upon arriving at an empty war base, the two girls have come upon yet another old establishment bearing the label "72nd Surface Power Plant" in the middle of a snowstorm.

It was while the girls were taking their fourth bath in weeks, immersed in hot water they shot off an old pipe, that they mentioned a man they both called Grandpa for the first time. It seemed that the girls have had quite a normal life with Grandpa, where they were able to bathe regularly and not have to worry about where to take shelter from the storm.

This being so, one can't help but wonder when the war began, and how much have the girls lost because of it?

There was also a lot of talk about the afterlife, paradise, and the importance of preserving one's personal memories and the legacy of an entire civilization via journals and books.

But has the world really lost everything that used to matter? And if there were only Chito and Yuuri left in the world, is it really still important to be preserving memories that no one else would be able to read anyway?

The mysteries of Chito and Yuuri's past and the effect it has on their present continues to unfold in small, unhurried portions. This has, in turn, made some fans worry that this calm and slice-of-life type of storytelling may eventually lead to an unexpected heartbreaker in the long run.

What has happened to the world? Could the mysteries surrounding its current desolation be revealed soon without falling into too much drama?
