'Girls' Last Tour' Episode 4 Spoilers: What Awaits Chito and Yuuri on the Path Towards a Mysterious Bright Light?

While it has been confirmed that Chito and Yuuri are not the last people in a desolate world, one can't help but wonder just how long the desolation has lasted at this point on the Japanese dystopian anime series, "Girls' Last Tour"?

The girls did not know what fish looked like except for what Chito read from books. Also, based on what she said in in an older episode, Chito seemed to have the impression that only humans had remained alive long before they were separated from their people.

What has really happened to the world prior to where the series began? Could this, in turn, have caused the war that subsequently brought the world to desolation?

The previous episode brought the two girls on the path of a guy named Kanazawa, who has been spending his days drawing maps of the relatively empty world they are living in now. And although he ended up losing the entirety of his works, he somehow managed to draw some renewed motivation to keep living from Chito and Yuuri's positive perception of the world, despite all the negativities on its surface.

Kanazawa is going to be making more maps as he heads to the north. Meanwhile, the girls will surely be recording many memories on the camera that their new friend has given them as they head out to the source of the mysterious bright light that suddenly appeared in the midst of darkness and has just brought the streetlights in an empty city back to life.

What new revelations will they be uncovering there? Could there be another person out there, just waiting for a couple of optimistic companions like Chito and Yuuri? And if so, how will this person help further expand the two girls' world?

"Girls' Last Tour" airs on Fridays at 9:30 p.m. JST on AT-X, at 10:30 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX, and at 11 p.m. JST on BS11.
