'Girls' Season 6 Episode 5 Spoilers: Hannah's Mom Goes Missing After She Ingests Pot Gummies
The upcoming episode of "Girls" season 6 will see Hannah (Lena Dunham) telling her mother, Loreen (Becky Ann Baker), about her pregnancy. However, things take a surprising turn when Loreen eats pot gummies.
According to the official synopsis of the new episode, titled "Gummies," Loreen pays Hannah a visit but is shocked to find out that her daughter is with child. The revelation is too much for her to handle and she has a difficult time coming to terms with the news.
Meanwhile, Adam (Adam Driver) and Jessa (Jemima Kirke) clash when they start production on their film, which is about their relationship with Hannah. Adam has a clear view of where the film should go creatively, but Jessa is not too sure.
Finally, Marnie (Allison Williams) proves that she is not a very good girlfriend when she fails to support Ray (Alex Karpovsky) during a time of grief. It can be recalled that Hermie (Colin Quinn) passed away in the previous episode.
A teaser trailer for the next episode has also been released. It starts out with Hannah looking troubled that she is pregnant with the surf instructor, Paul-Louis' (Riz Ahmed) child. She tells her mother, Loreen, who is sitting on the couch. By the looks of it, Loreen does not seem to believe her daughter at first.
The next scene shows Ray and Marnie having relationship problems. Ray asks if Marnie has plans. "I want to be here for you, just maybe not in this exact house," Marnie replies. Ray still does not know that Marnie is cheating on him with her drug addict of an ex-husband, Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).
Elsewhere, the cameras are rolling as Jessa and Adam shoot scenes for their new project. However, it is clear that Jessa does not agree with one of the scenes, and Adam asks her if she read the script. "I'm the producer. I don't need to read scripts," Jessa tells him in anger.
Finally, Hannah discovers that her mother is missing and frantically goes to Elijah (Andrew Rannells) for help. She tells him that Loreen is "high on pot gummies" and does not know of her location.
"Girls" season 6 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on HBO.
