'God of War 4' Gameplay: Writer Hints At Return of Kratos
"God of War 4" could feature the return of Kratos, a lead character who had already died, based on the latest rumors.
While "God of War 4" is still on the road to development, series writer Cory Barlog teased the return of Kratos in his recent comments on the Playstation Blog. Fans will find out if the rumors about the character's return are true when Sony's Playstation Experience (PSX) 2015 begins on Dec. 5 in San Francisco, according to Christian Today.
While Kratos' rumored return is making noise online, Movie Pilot disagrees. The publication says a new mythological creature could be featured and this event could give birth to a prequel for the franchise, the report adds.
Other characters rumored to make a comeback in the franchise are Jak and Daxter. But some Crossmap and other media outlets say new gods could crash the party including Thor, Loki, Odin, and other Norse deities, the report details.
Meanwhile, fans are excited to see "God of War 4" on the PlayStation Experience. This could give Sony a big way to end 2015, Segment Next suggests.
Fans were expecting Sony to unveil "God of War 4" during the E3 2015, but they were disappointed when the gameplay for "Uncharted 4" was shown instead.
Sony also released a teaser featuring four Omega signs, leading fans to think that the tech firm is trying to hint that something big is coming. On the other hand, it could only be a coincidence that the teaser was made public just a few days from the start of PSX 2015, the report relays.
As of now, Santa Monica Studio is still working on the remastered version of "God of War 3." "God of War 4" will most likely be released either in 2017 or 2018, and the fourth installment will take off from the previous installment.
