'God of War' PS4 Expected Before End of Year?
Director Cory Barlog 'still thinking' about the release date of the next 'God of War' game
After its thrilling Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 debut, the "God of War" PlayStation 4 game has remained largely out of the news with only a few tidbits of interesting information released every now and then. But is all this silence leading up to something big later this year?
Specifically, could developers be planning to surprise fans by releasing this sought-after game before 2017 is even over?
Developers have yet to really hint that such an earlier than expected release will take place for the game, but there could be something of note that emerged recently that could be pointing to this possibility.

Over on Twitter, the voice of protagonist Kratos in the upcoming game, Christopher Judge, updated his bio, and in it, fans can see this line: "KRATOS – GOD OF WAR (2017)," Push Square reported.
Now, that line does not necessarily mean that the eagerly anticipated game will be released this year, but it is nonetheless interesting, especially for fans desperate to hear more details.
Unfortunately, with no other details included, fans will just have to wait and see if Judge, or perhaps someone else involved in the game's development, may reveal more in the near future.
For instance, directory Cory Barlog has fielded some questions from fans related to the game on Twitter over the past few months, and not too long ago, he was also asked if he already knew the release date for the latest installment of the "God of War" franchise.
In response, Barlog shared that he is "still thinking" about it.
It is pretty clear that fans are very excited about the chance to finally go along with Kratos on another journey, and things may even be a bit different now with his son Atreus expected to be along for the ride.
At this point though, it looks they will have to continue waiting a bit longer before they can find out when they can see what challenges await Kratos and Atreus in the "God of War" PS4 game.
