'God Wars: Future Past' Release Date: New DLC Announced for Game

A brand-new downloadable content (DLC) pack is coming for the hit folklore-inspired tactical role-playing game "God Wars: Future Past."

This major expansion will add a brand-new post-ending story to the game as well as a new extremely difficult dungeon called "Labyrinth of the Erebus."

This new addition will task "God Wars: Future Past" players to comb through 50 stages and will feature a brand new end-game scenario that will feature multiple endings. The level cap will also be raised to Lvl. 199.

Of course, to aid gamers with progressing through the game and navigating the new stages in the "Labyrinth of the Erebus" dungeon, new armor and arms will be added via the DLC for players to use.

Last but not the least, the DLC will also add a set of new playable characters to "God Wars: Future Past" namely Momotaro, Dog, Pheasant and Monkey.

The DLC is set to be released in Japan sometime this winter. There is no word yet what the pricing will be, but the details should be revealed in the weeks to come as the release date draws closer.

As gamers wait for more information about the "God Wars: Future Past," it has been announced that the game's developer Kadokawa Games will serve as the publisher of "Metal Max XENO," a brand new role-playing game that will mark the return of the franchise. The studio's president Yoshimi Yasuda will oversee the production.

This will be the first "Metal Max" game that will be released on the PlayStation platform. It will be directed by Hiroshi Miyaoka, the original creator of the series with original composer Satoshi Kadokura also returning for the soundtrack of the game.

As for "God Wars: Future Past," the game was released in North America, Europe and Japan back in June of this year for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PS Vita.
