'Google Huawei Nexus 6' – leaked case cutouts confirm large camera and fingerprint scanner
Chinese handset manufacturer Huawei has been making the handsets for Google's upcoming "Nexus 6" phablet and there have been several leaks of the cases. Recent frontal and side case images have been leaked and they suggest a large camera plus a fingerprint scanner.
Slimmer smartphones means handset manufacturers are struggling with giving you a good pixel camera and also a battery that lasts longer. The frontal and side case images of the Google Huawei Nexus 6 reveals a big-sized cutout that suggests a bump to house the camera.
First, some images of a silicon case purportedly for Huawei Nexus 6 came up clearly indicating that the phablet will sport a bump. There is a circular cutout for the fingerprint scanner as well as a cutout for the flash. Then real images of the handset were also leaked that confirmed that the Huawei Nexus 6 will have a camera bump and a fingerprint scanner. The cutout for the camera indicates that it will be large.
Humps on a smartphone are extremely unsightly, but if the hump is to house a 21 megapixel camera then users are not going to complain.
Apart from the leak of the silicon cases, images and video of the handsets themselves have been leaked. Speculations are doing the rounds that the Google Huawei Nexus 6 phablet will have a 5.7-inch (1080p) Quad HD display. It will be powered by a high-end Snapdragon chip, probably a 64 bit, 810 octa-core processor paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM. It will house a 3500mAh battery. It will have a USB-C port, front facing speakers and wireless charging. Google will obviously load Android 6.0 Marshmallow into it.
The new leaks of Huawei Nexus 6 case in sideways position reveal that Huawei Nexus 6 will have a power/lock and volume rocker physical buttons located on the right side of the device.
Google has also been working with LG to bring out a smaller Nexus phone. This will most probably launch in September while the Google Huawei Nexus 6 phablet seems set for a year end launch.
