Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL: Google Hints Smartphone Unveiling Through Website
With Samsung and Apple dominating the smartphone market through their recent unveiling of their latest flagships, Google seems to have been challenged as the search giant has decided to spark a hype on the upcoming Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Recent reports have revealed that Google just debuted a marketing campaign and a new website dedicated to teasing their fans on their upcoming releases.
The website playfully teases the visitors by asking if they are thinking about changing phones. Meanwhile, by triggering them to ask more about their Google-made products, the search giant overtly leads them to a page that tells them to stay tuned for more information on Oct. 4. Considering that the original smartphones were released on the same date last year, the company has all but confirmed the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
Meanwhile, the teaser video that Google released posed some rhetorical questions that Forbes believes could be related to what fans can expect for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The questions included what problems the users of the previous models experienced which involves battery, speed, and efficiency.
To interpret these questions in line with the upcoming reveal, it seems that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will feature a better battery life, faster internals, and a promotion for the new Google Assistant.
There is limited information on the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. However, the former of the two is reportedly built by HTC, while the latter was developed by LG. Both smartphones are expected to remove its 3.5mm headphone jack, a move that most fans criticized considering many were displeased with Apple for removing it in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
More information is expected to be revealed in the next few weeks before Oct. 4.
