Google Pixel, Pixel 2 XL Get Rare Discount Promos
Discount promos on Google devices are rare enough, and doubly so for their flagship Pixel phones. So, it came as a pleasant surprise when Google announced their first ever sale promos for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, which cuts their usual prices for as much as $75.
The 64 GB model of the regular-sized Google Pixel 2 usually runs at $649, while the usual sticker price of the larger Pixel 2 XL says $850. The new offers from the Google Store, though, now offers both models for less.
What's more is that buyers still get to choose from a range of higher storage capacities and still get the discount, as 9 to 5 Google takes note. It's also the first time the official Google Store is offering the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL for sale, although retailers like Best Buy and service providers like Verizon has offered similar discounts in the past, particularly this past Black Friday.
For a limited time, the 64 GB model of the Google Pixel 2 can now be bought for just $599, a $50 discount from the usual retail pricing of $649. Buyers can also simply add $100 if they want the 128 GB version.
The discount is also retained even if they take advantage of Google's installment plans, with this current sale dropping the monthly rate down to $24.96 every month.
The 64 GB version of the Pixel 2 XL, on the other hand, now costs only $775 with this sale. That takes the base pricing of the larger Pixel model down $75, from the usual cost of $850. Buyers can upgrade the unit further, to 128 GB of storage, by simply adding $100 like with the regular Pixel 2.
The promo also applies to Google's monthly financing plan for the Pixel 2 XL, cutting down monthly dues to $32.25.
On top of all these discount options, Google is also letting users upgrade their older device, offering as much as $435 in trade-in value depending on the model a user will be turning in.
