Google's Nexus 5 (2015) Release Date, Specs Rumors: Features Revealed in Leaks
With its release date drawing close, it's no surprise that new reveals regarding Google's upcoming smartphone Nexus 5 (2015) have been making its round around the Internet. Nexus 5 (2015) is also known as Nexus 5 2nd Generation.
Unlike Samsung and Apple, Google's smartphone is a bit harder to predict. It far harder to get a fix on where, and in what form, Google's Nexus brand will appear. But thanks to leaks popping out here and there, waiting fans can have a glimpse of the concept that the latest smartphone might be, although most of these leaks may be unconfirmed.
Steve Hemmerstoffer, the person behind @onleaks Twitter account, has revealed information on the latest mobile device. He is a well-known reliable source when it comes to revealing accurate specs of the smartphones that are scheduled to get unveiled soon, according to IBTimes.
His latest tweet about the Nexus 5 (2015) is that Google will be unleashing a 5.2-inch LG Nexus 5 2015 as well as 5.7-inch Huawei Nexus 2015 phablet. Both giants look definite to be developing new Nexus products for Google in 2015. According to a report by Expert Reviews, LG will produce an aristocratic handset while Huawei will be making a slightly cheaper version in order to help increase its profile beyond the borders of Asia.
Aside from its 5.2-inch display, LG Nexus 5 (2015) is reported to come with front-facing speakers, and fingerprint sensor on its rear and USB Type-C connector. It may be made with a metal body that measures 146.9 x 72.9 x 8/9.8 mm.
Several sources like Chinese analysts Gizmochina and famous leaker Evan Blass have indicated that the Huawei Nexus is speculated to come with a QHD resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 802 chip and a built-in fingerprint scanner, along with a metal body.
There is no specific date yet to when the devices will be coming but it has been speculated that it may arrive late October or November. Excited fans will then just have to wait and watch out for more updates until then.
