GoPro Hero 4 Release Date Rumored for October or March 2015
GoPro already has a number of cameras up in the market, with their latest release being the GoPro Hero 3. The company is set to release another camera, the GoPro Hero 4, but there aren't any solid details on when the release date will be.
There are speculations about an October release date or a March 2015 release date but until the company itself announces an official date, the Hero 4's release is unknown. Most likely, though, the release will be sometime in the fall 2014 as the Hero 2 and Hero 3 were released on these dates in previous years.
Currently, the Hero 4's known specs are the Cortex-A9 processor chip with an FPU accelerator which will be more powerful than the Hero 3's ARM A7 processor. This would most likely mean that the Hero 4 will be able to support higher resolution recordings, and probably be able to capture 4K resolution videos at higher frame rates as well.

With this in mind, it is probable that the Hero 4 can capture 4K resolution videos at 30fps, 1080p at 120fps, and 720p at 240fps. The increase in frame rate capture will then enable smoother video capture with high-speed sports and activities.
Aside from the more powerful processor, the Hero 4 is also likely to come with a new 13-megapixel photo-sensor which would enable the camera to take photos and videos in the dark.
Other features like an electronic image stabilizer, improved MCTF, and a flat lens is expected on the Hero 4. Features from the Hero 3 like waterproofing and the compact build will also be carried over to the Hero 4.
As for the price, there are rumors that the Hero 4 will go for around $340 but with its upgraded specs it is highly unlikely it would sell for that low. Since the Hero 3 sold for around $600, the Hero 4 could go for something a little bit higher than that.
