GOT7: Jackson Returns After Two-Week Hiatus; Group Resumes Promotions This Week

After taking a two-week break, GOT7's Jackson is finally back to the grind. The K-Pop artist will join the group for the series of promotional events for "Never Ever," which kicks off this week.

On March 13, JYP Entertainment confirmed in an official statement that GOT7's Jackson would take a break to regain his health. Prior to that, on March 11, the group had a fan meeting and everyone noticed the artist's bad health condition.

The statement read, "Jackson's health suddenly worsened while attending GOT7's fan meeting on March 11. We judged that it would be difficult for him to continue with the event, so he had to sit out the last event, which was a hi-touch session. He is currently resting and concentrating on getting his health back to normal."

Two weeks since the announcement, JYP revealed that the renowned rapper will finally be back. The agency confirmed that following his hiatus, Jackson will resume team promotions starting this week as the group performs on MBC's "Music Core." JYP also thanked fans for their unwavering support for Jackson.

"We sincerely thank the fans who have been waiting and showing their support. We will continue to put the artist's health first during future schedules as well," said the agency.

JYP released its statement on Friday, March 24 via GOT7's official website.

Earlier this month, the group made its official comeback with the release of their new album titled "Flight Log: Arrival," featuring the title track "Never Ever." Since their comeback, Jackson has not been able to join GOT7 in their performances due to illness.

GOT7's "Arrival" recently debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's World Albums chart, with more than 3,000 copies sold in its first week of release. The album now marks the best sales week for the group in America, breaking the previous record of "Flight Log: Departure."
