'Gotham' Season 2 Spoilers, Plot News: Harvey Bullock Joins Forces With Jim Gordon to Take Down the Maniax
Fox's hit crime-fighting drama TV series "Gotham" ushers in its second season with an unexpected level of intensity. True to its subtitle, "Rise of the Villains," the show exploded to showcase the recognizable and well-loved elements from the Batman universe.
In the previous episode titled "Knock Knock," fans were shown the full extent of what Jerome and his group of escaped Arkham Asylum inmates can do as they attack the institution that is tasked to protect the titular city. A lot of GCPD officers were killed during the standoff and among them is Jim Gordon's ally and friend, the new commissioner Sarah Essen.
During the episode, viewers were also drawn to the stellar performance of Cameron Monaghan as the character most people have touted to be The Joker himself. Reviewers openly praised how "The Giver" star gave life to one of the most iconic villain in the DC Universe.
However, Jerome/Joker won't get away easily with what he and the Maniax did. Coming out from the clutches of his controlling girlfriend and the boredom of his job at the bar, Harvey Bullock now joins forces with Jim to track down the sinister-laughing ring leader and make him pay for his actions.
The latest promo trailer for the episode titled "The Last Laugh" hinted that tracking down Jerome could be a two-prong mission as they are also about to discover yet another murder case, this time involving Jerome's blind father.
Meanwhile, the new batch of promo images surfaced this week to tease a magic show with a special participation of the future Batman.
The photos (via Screen Rant) reveal the young Wayne master accompanied by his faithful butler, Alfred, in an affair which the synopsis earlier revealed to be a gala night for the Gotham Children's Hospital.
What was supposed to be a fun-filled magic show turns to become a hostage crisis situation. It is speculated that the situation will once again involve the Galavan siblings, Theo and his sister Tabitha, as they were seen in the occasion.
Don't miss the upcoming intense episode of "Gotham" Season 2 this Monday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
