'Gotham' Season 3 Release Date and News: Photos Show of a Grown-Up Poison Ivy; Other Characters, Plot and What to Expect
"Gotham" will be back for its third season with a gripping new take on the mundane world of fighting crime. Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) has been taking on the world and has done well for his part. Aside from Batman, Poison Ivy will be getting a new face in the upcoming season.

The first two seasons of the show had a young Poison Ivy, portrayed by Clare Foley. On the next installment, Poison Ivy will be much older and will be played by Maggie Geha.

In Season 3, "Gotham" will continue to dwell in chaos as villains continue to stay. One of the prominent villains is Poison Ivy who, in the third season, will become a young powerful woman after meeting a monster from Indian Hill. She will come to terms with the Mad Hatter (Benedict Samuel) and the Tweed Brothers.
Furthermore, "Gotham" Season 3 will also formally introduce the Court of Owls, a secret organization that has been ruling the city from a distance. The organization has been revealed in the season 2 finale and with their involvement to the death of Wayne's parents, it is understood that it will be the main idea of Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Bruce Wayne's story as the third season runs.
What To Expect
With the way the story is going, Season 3 will look more into the Court of Owls; Jim Gordon has to work harder because the escapees from Indian Hill will be on the run. Gordon will be on a mission to find the leader of the Indian Hill experiments, Hugo Strange (BD Wong) and one of his subjects, Fish Mooney, who is played by Jada Pinkett Smith.
Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) and Lucious Fox (Chris Chalk) find more about the reason behind the death of Wayne's parents. On the other hand, Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) and Captain Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis) continue to fight the monsters that are causing chaos in the city.
Now that Poison Ivy has been reborn as a powerful and grown woman, she will play an important role in the third season of the show. How and why she's become mature right away will be fully explained in the series once the third season premieres.
