'Gran Turismo' PlayStation 4 Special Collector's Edition Costs $46,300, Comes With Decked-Out 2018 Mazda MX-5

"Gran Turismo" publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment in Taiwan has put out a special, ultra-limited edition "Gran Turismo Sport" PlayStation 4 bundle that includes, among other goodies, an actual car decked out in GT livery. The extravagant kit was snapped up immediately, going for an estimated $46,600.

The promo, which reportedly offers just one bundle, according to NeoGaf, features the just-released "Gran Turismo Sport" with a PlayStation 4 Pro unit to play it in, as well as an entire year of PlayStation Plus subscription.

After that point, the promo just takes off. There's a Sony Bravia 4K HDR OLED TV, another new release from the company, included as well. To complete the gaming experience, there's a PlayStation VR kit thrown in, as well as a Thrustmaster T-GT driving wheel, and an Apiga AP1 racing chair.

Like a cherry on a sundae, Sony tops out the bundle with a 2018 Mazda MX-5 in "Soul Red" trim, complete with PS4 plates, stickers, and "Gran Turismo" decals.

The promo was quickly snapped up by a collector for about 1.4 million New Taiwan Dollars, or a rough equivalent of about $46,300 USD, according to Polygon. While prices in Taiwan could be higher after taxes, the MX-5 starts at about $30,000, just to give an idea.

The 65-inch Bravia, the next priciest item on the list, starts at around $4,000 as well. At some point, one could look at this bundle as a Mazda promo which includes a cool gaming setup with it.

This publicity stunt comes just in time for the launch of "Gran Turismo Sport," which went live on Tuesday, Oct. 17, for the PlayStation 4. Getting the game minus the entertainment center and car runs at a more affordable $60.
