'Gran Turismo Sport' News: Learning More About Some of the Features of the New Racing Sim

'Gran Turismo Sport' expected to be released sometime later this year

"Gran Turismo Sport" will aim to provide players with a realistic racing sim. But beyond that, there are also other features that should help them get more out of this game.

Just recently, developers revealed in a post on the game's official website that there is a Driver Profile feature included in this upcoming title.

Within the Driver Profile are different statistics that can significantly affect what kind of experiences players have with this game.

For instance, the Driver Rating stat represents how well players perform in races. This stat then becomes important whenever players go online as it will be used to determine which drivers should be competing with each other.

The Driver Profile will also feature the Sportsmanship Rating, and this is one statistic that will capture how players behave on the tracks.

Other statistics contained in the Driver Profile include the player's level, the current car being used, and there also appears to be an open gallery feature that may be used to display some special images.

Aside from the comprehensive Driver Profile, "Gran Turismo Sport" will also include other noteworthy features that players may be interested in trying out when they want to take a break from doing all the racing.

For instance, in an earlier post, developers shared that there will be a Sport Mode included in the upcoming game.

In Sport Mode, players will be able to watch races involving some of the game's best players. These races will also be presented differently from the ones players participate in, and course cameras will also be on hand to give players unique perspectives on the action taking place on the track. Commentators will also be present to accurately describe the races taking place.

Players will be able to check out these aforementioned features as soon as "Gran Turismo Sport" is officially released sometime later this year.
