'Grand Theft Auto 6' rumored release date & update: Female playable character included in the game, more car models to be added
The well-loved action-adventure game "Grand Theft Auto" has long been rumored to release a sixth sequel. But until today, its release date remains a speculation as there have been no official announcements on when the fans can possibly take hold of the game. According to Neurogadget, GTA 6 may happen in 2018 in the US but some sources also say that perhaps it will take place in year 2020, which is apparently still a fade away.
The reason for the long push back may be connected to the success of GTA 5, as noted in Franchise Herald. The previous game garnered so many achievements that the people at Rockstar Studios must be working hard to come up with a new installment that would surpass its predecessor. Of course, that's no easy venture.
Fortunately enough, there have been some clear developments in the game.
In fact, according to Latino Post, GTA 6 is expected to include a female playable character in the upcoming game. Rockstar Studios founder Dan Houser has confirmed this news and plans to do it in the near future. Houser also said that they couldn't add a lead female character just yet because "it didn't feel right yet to have one," as noted in MNR Daily. Previous reports speculated that the female character will be voiced by Eva Mendes while her husband Ryan Gosling will allegedly join her as the lead role.
Sources also revealed that the video game will include an awesome collection of cars to choose from. Developers may add in vintage cars dating from the 1950's or 1967. Ford Pickup Truck, Chevy Pickup Truck, Chevy SS Camaros, Hot Rods and the Shelby GT500 are some of the car models rumored to appear in the sequel. Players may also be able to do their own modification with their vehicles through a more advanced feature, allowing them to add in neon lights and speakers.
"Grand Theft Auto" may be available in various platforms including PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
