Reports say that Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Alex (Justin Chambers) may have a romantic relationship this time. Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Dr. Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.), on the other hand, are set to have more interesting events this season.

The show will be showing more of the original cast. This could mean that other members of the cast will return, either as a cameo or maybe for good.
Season 13 will pick up from where the show left off during the finale of the previous season. It can be recalled that Season 12 concluded with Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) getting married. A misunderstanding between Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Alex resulted to Alex knocking down Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianiotti). A love triangle is likely to happen since Meredith slept with Nathan (Martin Henderson) which is also the guy Maggie (Kelly McCreary) has feelings for.
In a report, Scorsone shared that at the end of the wedding, a surprisingly intense drama will happen. She noted though that the drama will not be about Meredith and Alex since the couple will be enjoying their wedding night. It will be a main topic of the show and will be interesting up until the end of the season.

Season 13 will be filled with interesting issues for the characters. It will be a whole new venture for sisters Meredith and Maggie, especially that they both have their eyes on the same guy.
Meanwhile, Jo's dilemma will be on whether or not she will tell Alex about her marriage. After beating Andrew up in the wedding, Alex has a lot to deal with in the upcoming season. Andrew might be after him for a revenge eversince the hurtful event.
Kelly McCreary shared in a report that the original cast has been the foundation of the show. She added that most of the time will be spent with the changes of the characters through the years and who they have become. She concluded that most of the time will be being together with the cast. The same as spending time with Meredith the whole time from the previous season.
A lot of drama will be happening once the 13th season kicks off. "Grey's Anatomy" will be back on September 22, 2016
