'Grimm' fifth season promises to be more edgier.

The last season of "Grimm" left audiences shocked over the sudden killing of key character, Juliette, played by actress Bitsie Tulloch. But there are also a lot of changes in store for the people she left behind.

The show's season ended with Juliette dying in Nick's arms but not by Nick's hands. Although he wanted to avenge the death of his mother, Nick couldn't find the will to choke the life out of Juliette because he loved her. Trubel, played by Jacqueline Tobini, arrives on the scene and takes the decision out of Nick's hands by shooting and killing Juliette with two arrows.

Another life-changing twist in the story for Nick comes from Adalind (Claire Coffee) when she tells him that they're about to become parents from their one-time encounter. This comes as another surprise for him. It also changes a lot for Adalind because while she's about to have a baby, she is also about to lose her job and her powers.

The other characters also undergo some changes.

Rosalee and Monroe will get together but problems arise for them because of her addictions. This has been interestingly put back into the story line, and that causes some major problems for the couple," actress Bree Turner says according to TVGuide.com. "She really struggles with her past skeletons."

Viewers will see more of Sgt. Wu as he is set to lend his technical skills and smarts to the team. In the meantime, Sasha Roiz's character will go through a lot of flashbacks as he revisits past cases. There is also the appearance of the mysterious FBI agent in Nick's home who tells his men to "get her" but it wasn't clear as to who he was referring to. Trubel and Juliette were also in Nick's home at the time.

The Loch Ness Monster and Gila monsters will add some more spice to the mix in Season 5.

The show's storyline will have dark paths in store for its characters. Fans are also speculating that Nick will quit being a cop and will start his own investigations, leading him to darkness. It remains to be seen if this season will spring a romance between Nick and Adalind. Indeed, the 5th season of "Grimm" promises to be an engrossing one. For fans of "Grimm", there is more darkness in the new season that will start airing on Oct. 30.
