'GTA 5 Online' DLC Release Date News: Rockstar to Release Only One Major DLC in the Coming Months?
Rockstar Games recently released the Special Vehicle Circuit for "Grand Theft Auto 5 Online" ("GTA 5 Online") and new details about the next content coming to the game have also been released.
As the studio revealed a few weeks ago, "GTA Online" will get a Gunrunning downloadable content (DLC) this spring. It turns out that it might be the major content players are getting in the months to come.
According to well-known "GTA" tipster Tezfunz2, "Gunrunning is the only actual DLC we would get within the next months since everything else is drip-feed."
Drip-feed simply means that Rockstar releases new content for "GTA Online" in small but frequent doses. While there will be regular offerings, they will not be as big as a full-on DLC.
If Gunrunning will be the only major DLC set for "GTA Online," it looks like it will be much bigger than the usual content that the studio has been drip-feeding.
Rockstar has provided details about Gunrunning last week on its blog. It reads:
"Stock up and bunker down as you take on the craziest militias across the state of San Andreas in another massive update for GTA Online. Featuring brand new weaponized vehicles and exciting new missions, get ready to fight for supremacy in the illegal arms trade and wage war with the latest in high-powered military hardware."
Whether or not the release of Gunrunning would mean lesser content for "GTA Online" afterward remains to be seen. However, Rockstar did tease there will be "more" releases for spring and summer. It is unclear if there will be major content there or they will all be drip-feed.
For now, however, it looks like Rockstar is focused on adding small content regularly for "GTA Online" as opposed to major DLCs.
The latest release introduces Special Vehicle Circuit, the combination of Special Vehicles and Stunt Races. The update also adds the "pure and flawless" Progen GP1 to "GTA 5."
