GTA 5 PC Beta Test Currently Underway

Rockstar appears to be working double time to meet its projected fall 2014 release of GTA 5 PC.

It has been reported that the beta test for GTA V PC is currently underway. YouTube user DomisLive says that the PC version of the game is being beta tested on Steam as of Sept. 4. SteamDB confirms that the game was played on Steam's network over the past weekend, with at least two different people exploring the next generation version of Los Santos.

The website reports that the beta testers are playing the game early to ensure that everything will go smoothly for the GTA 5 PC launch. As for the exact date of the game's release, Rockstar has not confirmed anything as of the moment, but there are reports that the game could be delayed until 2015. This theory is backed by the fact that the company has not released any new trailer or news during Gamescom.

However, an online software/hardware retailer, Newegg.com, may hold the clue as to when GTA 5 will finally be released. iDigital Times reports that gtacheats.com was able to get a screenshot of Newegg.com's post about the game's release, and it was revealed that GTA 5 will be coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Nov. 18, 2014.

The website reports that the aforementioned date could be more than just a rumor, as Nov. 18 falls on a Tuesday, which is the day that new video games are normally released in the U.S.

Fans who are eagerly anticipating GTA 5 PC know that the wait is very much worth it, as the game promises new features, and Rockstar has announced that bigger rewards will be given to players after the culmination of each mission in the game.
