'GTA V' News: 'Ill-Gotten Gains' Update Coming June 10

"Grand Theft Auto V" is bringing another exciting update to the game. Rockstar Games, the game's developer and publisher recently announced that a new update called "Ill-Gotten Gains, Part One" is coming to the game on June 10.

After bringing the successful and very popular "Heists" Update three months ago, Rockstar is offering up something different for the game's updates this summer. According to a report in Tech Times, the "Heists" update brought with it new missions which also brought in "massive payouts" to players, the highest so far than any of the game's updates. With any Heist mission, players are highly rewarded.

With players awash with "in-game cash," the report said that they need something to spend huge amounts of cash on. That is where the new update comes in. The "Ill-Gotten Gains" update brings expensive luxury items, including the vehicular and the weaponized kind.

According to another report in Game Zone, the free update will include "a number of new rides, accessories, weapons and clothing items" which can be used in the multiplayer mode. It includes "eight vehicle wraps inspired by the high-end designers of Rockford Hills," a solid gold jet or a solid gold helicopter, several new sports cars, a new assault rifle among others.

Being "Part One" of the "Ill-Gotten Gains" update, this is only the first of two updates that will be coming to GTA V this summer. Players can download the free update on June 10, and it will available on all platforms: PS3 and Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One and PC. However, this may be the last update for the PS3 and Xbox 360, which Rockstar confirmed last month. They cited hardware limitations as the main reason why no new updates will be coming to the older generation consoles.

Another upcoming event connected to the update is the special "Ill-Gotten Gains" Social Club Weekend (Part One) which begins on June 12, Friday and will run until June 14, Sunday. Those joining the event will get bonus RP, GTA cash and more.
