Heists DLC for GTA V Online Delay Continues: 'We're Very Sorry for the Delay' Says Rockstar

It has been almost a year since the opening of Rockstar's GTA V multiplayer port, GTA Online, and the highly anticipated Heists DLC has not been released.

One user-made website called AreTheHeistsThereYet.com counts down from the day GTA Online was released up to the current date where the DLC is still not released. As of this writing, it has been 329 days since GTA Online was released.

The Heists DLC is what players have been waiting for since its announcement earlier this year and it promises missions in which a player and his friends can partake in. These missions include the Prison Van Rescue, Drop Off Hooker, Funeral, Territory Takeover, Flight Gangmate, Cop Territory, Ornate Bank Heists, and FIB Grab.

One of the missions, Territory Takeover, is similar to "GTA: San Andreas'" Gang Warfare, where the player takes over the territories of rival gangs by fending off waves of defending gang members.

Other missions like Prison Van Rescue are more elaborate and unique in their own respect. In the mentioned heist, players will have to work together to halt an armored van driven and protected by NPCs to bust out a fellow criminal.

Earlier this June, Rockstar had hoped to alleviate the tension over the wait for the Heists DLC by releasing the "I'm Not a Hipster" update which features new cars, new jobs, and customization options.

Some players were happy to just see an update to their favorite game but others were not as pleased and have grown impatient with the growing delay to the Heists DLC as seen in the comment made by user Marcos42563 in the "I'm Not a Hipster" update.

On the same page, Rockstar had apologized to awaiting fans about the delay of the Heists update.

"We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated. We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can," a Rockstar community administrator wrote.
