'GTA V' Rumors: Is a Nintendo Switch Version in Development?

Noted tipster seemingly hinted that a Switch edition of 'GTA V' may be coming

Few games can boast the kind of success "Grand Theft Auto V" has enjoyed since its initial release back in 2013. Since then, the game has just continued to draw consistent support from players, and it even managed to climb up some sales charts even though it has been on the market for years.

So is it really that hard to believe that the game's developers still have big plans for it?

Namely, would it really be that big of a shock if "GTA V" was suddenly announced as a Nintendo Switch title?

Those are things gamers may now have to think about a little more in the wake of a new rumor emerging online.

Over on NeoGAF, someone with the username "vern" responded to a post from a fellow forum user who was lamenting the absence of the latest "GTA" game on the Switch. The response from "vern" is a short but very telling mention of the word "Patience."

Something like this is commonplace online, and for the most part, the teases turn out to be nothing.

As Comicbook pointed out, however, there may be a reason to pay attention to "vern" as this individual has provided accurate hints concerning the Switch.

Beyond just this latest rumor, it also simply makes a ton of sense for Rockstar to release "GTA V" for the Switch.

The game is already currently a record-breaking hit. Now, imagine how well it could continue to do if fans are able to play it even away from home thanks to the Switch's portability.

The game's online component could thrive for years to come if it becomes something players can enjoy even on the go.

"GTA V" is not a Nintendo Switch title at this point in time, but that can still change in the future. And if it does, there are clearly good reasons for that.
