'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' update: Side key characters added, Kraglin joins movie

After the success of the first movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy" is returning to the big screen for a part two and fans can expect that it's going to be packed with humor, adventure and a whole lot of battling. While the movie may still be far away, director James Gunn is kind enough to bring updates via social media to fans about the progress of the movie. For instance, Movie Web reported that he shared last week a photo of himself with Vin Diesel and James Wan at his going-away party before he left for Atlanta to start shooting the film.

The same source also stated that the sequel of "Guardians of the Galaxy" will not feature too many superhero characters, but instead, it will turn its cameras and plots to the Guardians in a personal level. He brushed aside rumors about Captain Marvel and confirmed that the only human in the movie will be Peter Quill, played Chris Pratt. Gunn then revealed that the four main characters will all be back. Vin Diesel will be once again voicing Groot while Bradley Cooper will voice over Rocket Raccoon. Zoe Saldana will be reprising her role as Gamora and Dave Bautista will be back as the Destroyer.

There will also be other characters that will appear in the movie including a few key supporting players such as Yondu, played by Michael Rooker, and Nebula, starred by Karen Gillan. According to Cinema Blend, the latest addition to the character roster is none other than Kraglin, which will be played by the director's brother, Sean Gunn.
