'Guardians of the Galaxy' Movie News: Sylvester Stallone to be a Ravager, Elizabeth Debicki to Play Ayesha?

Details on the ongoing production of "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" are still elusive, but rumor has it that the movie will introduce new characters. According to reports, Sylvester Stallone will be one of the Ravagers in the upcoming Marvel movie while Elizabeth Debicki will breathe life to the character of Ayesha.

The Ravagers are an interstellar group of thieves, smugglers, and pirates that allies with the Guardians of the Galaxy. It is led by Yondu Udonta, the man who took the young Peter Quill under his ward. While the exposure of Stallone as part of the Ravagers is not certain, it can only be speculated that he will have more dialogues and scenes as compared to the other members of the group.

Apart from Stallone, the website reported that Elizabeth Debicki will play Ayesha, aka Kismet, Paragon, and Her, who was brought to life via a laboratory by the Enclave, which is a group of scientists. One of her quests is to find a mating partner. She has the power to manipulate cosmic energies, is ageless, and has the gift of flight.

With more new cast members having been ushered in "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" movie, it can be expected that this Marvel film will provide more fun and entertainment. According to Movie Pilot, with this new cast members, it seems that there is a possibility for the movie to feature magic, too.

This is because, in the comic book version of Ayesha, the Enclave seeks the help of Dr. Strange in controlling the potentially dangerous being that they creates. Nonetheless, the magic of Dr. Strange failed in stopping Ayesha from developing into a full grown female while inside her growth cocoon.

At this point in time, it is only speculated whether Dr. Strange will be brought to the universe of the "Guardians of the Galaxy 2." If the movie is, indeed, introducing the character of Ayesha, then, there might be a possibility for the sorcerer-doctor to cross to the world of Guardians of the Galaxy, and for the movie to feature magic, too.

"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is currently in production and is slated for a May 5, 2017 release.
