'Gundam Versus' DLC News, Release Date: Next Mobile Suit Set for Next Month
Only a week after the addition of Alvaaron and Buster Gundam mobile suits to the fold, "Gundam Versus" is getting another mobile suit for its next downloadable content (DLC).
This time it will be Atlas Gundam, which comes straight from "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt," the ongoing Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yasuo Ohtagaki.
In the manga, the upcoming "Gundam Versus" DLC is known as a prototype ground combat mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation Forces. It is known for its versatility and is designed primarily for underwater combat courtesy of its Globe Joint systems and water jet thrusters.
The Atlas Gundam also comes with Sub Legs support equipment that allows the mobile suit to change into either Flight Mode that will aid it in high-altitude atmospheric combat or Submarine Mode for underwater combat.
The "Gundam Versus" DLC addition also comes with a heat-resistant blade shield and a maximum output railgun that can destroy amphibious mobile suits in a single shot, making it quite a redoubtable weapon.
The Atlas Gundam also features a couple of beam sabers for its special melee and a number of several assault rifles as well as a cockpit block that can function as an escape block. Its sub attack allows it to fire the railgun while moving with its special mobility serving as its special shot.
The known pilot for this new mobile suit is none other than "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt" protagonist himself Io Fleming, who is also an ace pilot of the Moore Brotherhood's Beehive Carrier.
The "Gundam Versus" DLC will also be priced at 602 yen like the previous ones released for the title. It will be released sometime this November. More details should be revealed in the days to come.
"Gundam Versus" was released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 back in July.
