Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale to Divorce After 13 Years

Gwen Stefani has filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years, English rock musician Gavin Rossdale.

The "No Doubt" lead vocalist Gwen Stefani has announced she is calling it quits with alternative rock band "Bush" lead singer, Gavin Rossdale, with whom she has shared 13 years and three sons.

The 45-year-old American singer, actress, and fashion designer filed for divorce from 49-year-old Rossdale on Monday at the Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences in her petition.

Stefani, who is currently a coach on "The Voice USA," released a statement to Access Hollywood stating she and her husband have decided to part ways as partners in marriage, but remain mutual in their decision to remain partners in parenting their three sons.

Stefani and Rossdale have also announced they would be filing for joint custody of their sons, Kingston James, 9, Zuma Nesta Rock, 6, and Apollo Bowie Flynn, who was born on Aug. 3 this year.

The pair, who met in 1995 when "No Doubt" opened for Rossdale's band "Bush" while on tour, married in September 2002 in Covent Garden, London, followed by a second wedding in Los Angeles within the same month.

The couple had hit a rocky patch earlier on in their marriage when after a paternity test in 2004, it was revealed that Rossdale's goddaughter, model Daisy Lowe, then 15-years-old, was his biological daughter with English model and designer, Pearl Lowe.

In the aftermath of the discovery, Rossdale ceased contact with his daughter and her mother, despite having previously been in friendly terms with both. However, images released online in 2009 show Daisy Lowe taking a walk with her half-brother Kingston in London, and interviews made public in 2010 revealed both Rossdale and the younger Lowe maintain a father-daughter relationship.

It is not known whether the soon-to-be divorced couple have been separated for some time before the filing, as Stefani posted a series of photos of their family vacation in Montana on her Facebook account last week.
