Madonna Stalker Escapes Mental Hospital, Sends Death Threats to Halle Berry

Stalker Threatened He'd 'Slit Her Throat'

A stalker of Madonna's escaped from a mental hospital, and has now threatened Halle Berry's life.

Death threats- originally made against Madonna, now shifted to Berry- have made the star reconsider living in the U.S., and now she could even move to France with her fiancé, Olivier Martinez, for the sake of her safety.

Death threats for both stars were gruesome, and purportedly, the stalker's effort to "slit her throat" has been renewed, according to TMZ. Robert Hoskins, a mentally unstable man, escaped from his mental institution last week, citing the dangerous phrase.

In addition, another potentially dangerous stalker of Berry's, Richard Franco, was released from prison several days ago. Franco apparently trespassed on Halle's property several times, and with her home on many Hollywood tour locations, it's a safe bet that he could find where she lives.

"This person has invaded and trampled upon the most fundamental sense of security I have and I am extremely frightened of him and what he might do to me and those I love," Berry wrote in her criminal complaint against the madman, which led to his original arrest.

In response, the "Monster's Ball" star has asked a judge for permission to move to France. Legally, she can go, but because of a joint custody battle with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, she must get a judge's say-so to take the child out of the country.

Halle is even more concerned, reports TMZ, because Aubry has been showing off Nahla, their daughter, to various media outlets and publications. His constant effort to show Nahla to paparazzi could be putting the child's life in danger, fears the mother.

Aubry is also trying to prevent Nahla from being taken to France to live with her mother and her boyfriend.

The death threats against Halle's life may be too serious to ignore, though.

Hoskins has a history of mentally deranged and dangerous behavior. The stalker also pursued singer Madonna, and threatened to murder her as well, according to reports.

In 1995, he also managed to sneak on Madonna's property to get a glimpse of the star. Bodyguards shot him, showing that they meant business.

It is still unknown when the judge will rule on Berry's custody case, but the delay could be putting her in more danger.
