'Halo 5' Community Forge Playlist Revealed, Voting to Start This Week
343 Industries confirmed the development of "Halo 5's" playlist last week. Now, the developer is a step closer to releasing its final Forge maps that will be added to the game next month.
The developer announced in a blog post its Community Forge Breakout List, an initial list of 10 community-made maps. The maps were made by fans using "Halo 5's" map-making Forge tools. The first set of maps was available on Friday.
"Since the launch of Forge, we've kept an eye on your incredible community creations, and today we're introducing the first (of many) batches of community maps into matchmaking," 343 Industries said in the post. "We know you're excited about playing on Forge favorites, ranging from competitive 4v4 to Big Team Battle to wacky mini-games and Action Sack, and more."
The batch consists of the top community Breakout maps. Here is the full list:
Epicenter by A Chunk and XXandrith (image above)
Absolute by Black Picture
Apparition by II Sethiroth II and Warholic
Canal by Classy Moth and Vorked Manback
Deadcenter by Solo XIII
Havoc by II Sethiroth II
Highrise by Randy 355
Overpass by Solo XIII
Pylon by DarkPrince909
Simulation by Berserk on XBL and Lil Black Bubba
"Halo 5" players can begin voting for their favorites this week. Maps with the highest votes will be included in the permanent February Breakout playlist, which will also include the Breakout maps that were shipped with the game.
343 Industries will be introducing more maps and playlists from the community after this batch.
In addition to the community Forge playlist, the developer confirmed previously that it was also working on new game types or game modes, which range from competitive maps to classic remakes, and more. 343 Industries targets to release the first mode or set of modes toward the end of next month, if testing goes smoothly.
