'Halo 5: Guardian' Expansion Gives Players Team Battle Mode, New Maps & Req Content
The Xbox One shooter game developed by 343 Industries, "Halo 5: Guardians," has got its first free expansion titled "Battle of Shadow and Light." This latest update introduces what fans of the game want dearly - the 8v8 Big Team Battle mode.
Along with this, the update expands the battleground by offering four new Big Team Battle map. It also includes new Req content.
Fans of the game are in for a bonanza as game developer 343 Industries has said that this update is just the beginning and players will be given upwards of 15 free multiplayer maps by next summer as the companion to this, the Forge tools, are expected to be available in December.
The maps are to be built using the Halo 5's Forge tools. These are Deadlock, Basin, Guillotine and Recurve.
In this update, Big Team Battle Mode will also increase "Halo 5: Guardians'" Arena mode from 4v4 to 8v8. The strategies of the top teams have been changed while new maps will be introduced to accommodate the increase in players. The new maps will have new environments like a forests and woodlands or the snow bound Tundra region. These new maps and environments will also let players use vehicles like a Warthog or a Ghost.
The new update come with a whopping 48 new REQ packs that players can unlock by playing in the multiplayer mode.
The comment from the official site states: "Our promised commitment to meaningful post-launch support and expanded free content begins with our first drop: 'Battle of Shadow and Light,' which adds the stealthy new Shinobi ninja-themed armour, some legendary Light Rifle firepower and perhaps most importantly, the arrival of Big Team Battle maps, modes and mayhem to Halo 5: Guardians."
The community blog further states that this month's drop includes new REQs that might contain the Ultra Rare Shinobi armor and Legendary Dying Star LightRifle.
