'Halo 5: Guardians' Updates: Halo World Championship 2016 Kicks Off as Cartographer's Gift Will Be Available in December with More Free Content in 2016
Microsoft and 343 Industries have at least a couple of things in store for players of "Halo 5: Guardians" this month and in 2016. These include the Halo World Championship 2016, the December DLC, and more free content.
"Halo 5: Guardians" December DLC, The Cartographer's Gift
Announced last week during The Game Awards, The Cartographer's Gift is "Halo 5's" second DLC since the game was released in October. It is a free update and is expected to arrive within the month.
The DLC boasts "the biggest and most improved Forge mode ever." The Cartographer's Gift will also include the new warzone Battle of Noctus, new arena Overgrowth, and new maps Antifreeze and Entombed. In addition, characters will also get two new armors: Raijin armor set and Mark IV (Gen 1) armor set, which is inspired by Douglas, Alice, and Jerome's armors in "Halo Wars." There will be new emblems and new weapons such as the rare SPNKr Rocket Launcher as well.
More maps, weapons, armors, modes, and other content will be coming to the game next year. 343 Industries hopes these monthly free content will keep players interested and active in the game.
Those who want to learn more about the DLC can stay tuned to Halo Channel and Twitch this Friday at 3 p.m. PDT where the developer will be talking about The Cartographer's Gift live.
