'Halo: The Complete Video Collection' News: Shout! Factory Reveals October Release
"Halo" fans had better have their savings ready, as Shout! Factory has announced that the "Halo: The Complete Video Collection" coming soon.
According to the Shout! Factory website, the collection is set to be released at the end of this month. Interested fans can pre-order the product now. It currently has a listed price of $35.99 though Amazon is selling it for $29.99.
"Lock and load ... and explore the far reaches of the 'Halo' universe with 'Halo: The Complete Video Collection,'" the description reads. "Inspired by the world famous video game series, this compendium of action-packed stories will blow fans of the game and science fiction away."
The collection includes four "Halo" films and series. The first is "Halo Legends," which is an animated feature consisting of eight exciting stories. The second is "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn," which tells the story of Thomas Lasky and other cadets, as they fight their way through an attack on UNSC academy. Things take an interesting turn when a mysterious super soldier called Master Chief arrives to help them.
The third movie is "Halo: Nightfall," which finds Randall Aiken working with ONI agents after a biological attack leaves them in shock. During their investigation, they discover that there is more to the case than meets the eye. In the end, they are faced with a tough decision.
The last one is "Halo: The Fall Of Reach," which is an animated feature that tells the story of the Master Chief and his origins, including the famous SPARTAN program.
"Halo: The Complete Video Collection" will also include bonus features like new commentaries from the team behind "Halo." In total, the collection contains six discs and spans more than six hours of content. It is available in English, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish. Subtitles are available in the same languages in addition to Korean and Mandarin.
"Halo: The Complete Video Collection" will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Oct. 31.
