'Halo Wars 2' DLC Release Date News: Post-launch Content to Arrive This March
Now that "Halo Wars 2" is out, developer 343 Industries is now focused on the post-launch content for the real-time strategy video game.
In a new blog post, 343 Industries said their team and Creative Assembly are hard at work on downloadable content (DLC) and patches for the game.
"Just because the game has launched doesn't mean the work is done," 343 Industries wrote, emphasizing that the work for "Halo Wars 2" is "far from" done.
Beginning this March, "Halo Wars 2" players can look forward to new content every third Wednesday of the month. The first post-launch content release will be in the form of a brand-new leader, Kinsano.
New leaders as well as new units and campaign missions to be included in "Operation: Spearbreaker" will be released in the months to come.
Fans can learn more about the DLCs coming to "Halo Wars 2" at the PAX East event in Boston, Massachusetts on March 10 to 12.
Apart from new content, Creative Assembly and 343 Industries are also working on patches and updates for "Halo Wars 2" in order to give players a remarkable gaming experience.
"The team has been monitoring feedback and online data very carefully and are currently hard at work investigating and fixing a number of issues that have been reported by some players," they wrote.
Some of these issues involve online connectivity, latency and the performance of "Halo Wars 2." The developers recently rolled out some significant sever configuration changes, improving the performance of the game.
Creative Assembly and 343 Industries also handle resolution issues while keeping their eye out on player feedback and game data for overall balance and mechanics in "Halo Wars 2."
They also fixed the exploit in which players score 600XP in the 1v1 games by destroying their base right away. Doing so would not reward players with this fast XP even though the game user interface (UI) will inform them that they did.
"So doing this will not only net you no real reward it will also ruin the fun for the person you're matching against while also inaccurately skewing player skill ratings as well," Creative Assembly and 343 Industries warned.
