Han Solo Movie News: New Plot Details Revealed, Film To Be Set Prior to Events of 'Star Wars: A New Hope'

The still currently untitled Han Solo spinoff movie from the "Star Wars" franchise is moving closer to completion, with new details about its story and its production recently revealed.
Beginning with the newly shared plot details, it was revealed that the upcoming movie will be set before the events that transpired in the film "Star Wars: A New Hope."
The movie is also expected to focus not just on Han Solo himself but also on his loyal companion Chewbacca. The relationship these two beloved characters share has been one that fans have followed diligently throughout the series, and soon, they will be given an opportunity to learn more about it and perhaps understand why Han Solo and Chewbacca have always stuck by each other.
Aside from revealing more about Han Solo and Chewbacca's relationship, the new movie is also expected to prominently feature Lando Calrissian, though exactly how they will all interact remains a mystery that will only be uncovered in full once the film is released.
A new image showing some of the Han Solo movie's cast members together was also shared recently in a post on StarWars.com.
Included in the picture are Alden Ehrenreich, who will be playing the young Han Solo, and Donald Glover, who is set to take on the role of Lando Calrissian.
Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca is also in the picture, together with other cast members Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Co-directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are also seen in the image.
Shooting of the film has also started, but it will still be a while before fans will be able to catch this new "Star Wars" movie in cinemas, as it is currently scheduled to be released on May 25, 2018.
