'Hannibal' season 3 episode 12 news: The Number of the Beast is 666

With the end of "Hannibal" season 3 soon approaching, fans are still wondering if the series will be picked up by another network.
It was confirmed during the Television Critics Association press tour that NBC is set on dropping the series. Robert Greenblatt, the chairman present during the NBC panel, explained that while Hannibal has never received awards, he still believes that it is a quality show. However, their decision is final and they are ready to say good-bye to the show.

During the panel, IGN asked Greenblatt why they decided to cancel it, even though they thought it was of high quality. He explained that the decisions are already closed since the network decided to move on. Their decision was based on the profit and loss of the series, as well as ratings.

Despite the news of cancelation, series creator Bryan Fuller still managed to keep the momentum of the show as it comes to a close. He explained during last month's San Diego Comic-Con that he was aware that this would be the show's last season. Therefore, he wanted to give the show the ending it deserved.
