Harry Styles, Kendall Jenner Dating: Simon Cowell Offers One Direction Singer Advice in 2014

Harry Styles received advice from Simon Cowell about his relationship with Kendall Jenner, a new report claims.

The One Direction singer, 20, began dating Jenner, 18, in November and the pair are said to be growing more serious. Cowell, who formed the British boy band in 2010, is believed to have reached out to Styles recently to warn him about the effect that dating a Jenner-Kardashian may have on his career.

"Simon knows Harry and Kendall's relationship is great for One Direction's profile, but he's wary of Harry being sucked into the Kardashian circus," a source told Star magazine UK.

"He warned him that won't do him any favors long-term," the source added.

Jenner, who is the younger sister of famed reality TV star Kim Kardashian, is featured on the hit reality TV show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." Friends of Styles reportedly fear that the model's mother Kris Jenner, who is renowned for her ambitious money-making tactics, could ultimately jeopardize his successful music career by pressuring him into business ventures with her daughter.

"Kris will push them to do joint business ventures. She'll make sure she benefits off them," another source said.

"People who date the Kardashians end up cursed," another insider revealed. "Harry is loved by people around the world and his friends don't want Kris to sink her teeth into him."

Showbiz critics believe that anyone who dates a Kardashian-Jenner is it risk of falling victim to what has been dubbed the "Kardashian curse," whereby one's career suffers after getting involved with the fame-hungry family, according to the HuffingtonPost. Fans have pointed out the likes of Reggie Bush, Kris Humphries and Lamar Odom whose careers declined in one way or another after they began dating members of the E! star family.

Reports claim Jenner's mother is pushing for the British pop star to be featured on the family's reality TV show in order to boost ratings.

"Kris has always seen her children's relationships as business opportunities, so she wants him on the show," an insider told Grazia magazine. "She insisted Kendall talk to him about it and has also made inroads, explaining what a great opportunity it would be for him."
