Harvey Weinstein's Brother Bob Faces Own Sexual Harassment Raps

After his brother Harvey Weinstein was accused by at least 50 women of sexual harassment, Bob is now facing similar charges after "The Mist" showrunner Amanda Segel revealed that the other Weinstein had repeatedly made romantic overtures to her and sexually harassed her while the production for the Spike TV series was ongoing.

In an interview last Tuesday, the female executive producer said Bob had acted unbecomingly toward her for months in the summer of 2016. Due to Bob's inappropriate behavior, she had to ask her lawyer, David Fox of Myman Greenspan, to issue a notice to the Weinstein Company, the producer of "The Mist," demanding Bob to stop sexually harassing her and threatening the company that she would leave the show if Bob would not stop.

"'No' should be enough. After 'no,' anybody who has asked you out should just move on. Bob kept referring to me that he wanted to have a friendship. He didn't want a friendship. He wanted more than that. My hope is that 'no' is enough from now on," she said.

Shortly after Segel's interview, Bob's representative issued a statement debunking the female showrunner's claims. According to the representative, Bob had dinner with Segel in Los Angeles sometime in June 2016, but there was never a time that he behaved inappropriately during or after their dinner.

Bob's lawyer Bert Fields also issued a strong denial of Segel's claims on his client's behalf, saying, "Variety's story about Bob Weinstein is riddled with false and misleading assertions by Ms. Segel and we have the emails to prove it, but even if you believe what she says it contains not a hint of any inappropriate touching or even any request for such touching," said Fields.

A couple of weeks ago, women from various news outlets began accusing Harvey of sexually assaulting them, causing the Weinstein Company executive's expulsion from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
