'Hawaii Five-0' Season 7 Episode 18 News: Darius Rucker Guests as Bomb Maker

Every episode of the action-crime-drama series "Hawaii Five-0" has been filled with explosive twists and turns, making audiences want more. For the upcoming episode, it promises to go out with a loud boom — literally, and it gets help from another stellar guest star.

In episode 18's synopsis, it says, "MacGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Danny (Scott Caan) finally track down the missing uranium, which has been used to build a bomb located in the middle of the jungle. Now, they must carefully extract the unstable explosive through treacherous terrain before it detonates."

Given the plot is not something new, what actually makes it enticing is the prospect of who's going to play the bomb maker. It is going to be no other than American singer and songwriter Darius Rucker and will be known as Desmond Abati.

Rucker rose to fame and was initially known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of Hootie and the Blowfish. He rocked the musical arena, but in the coming episode of "Hawaii Five-0" he'll be dishing a different kind of bang, and it is going to be a dangerous one.

How dangerous is he going to be? Apparently, he is going to be so high-profile that he trained Boko Haram and ISIS members in explosive-making, thus he is one top-notch bomb expert. As such, his character has been tracked down by the US government for years, and so it will be curious to see how he fits into the picture.

Aside from his character, it will be interesting to see how the upcoming episode addresses the previous one's cliffhanger. It can be recalled that Alicia Brown (Claire Forlani) was pointing a gun at Dr. Madison Gray (Elisabeth Röhm), and although a gunfire was heard, it doesn't reveal for sure if Madison got killed.

"Hawaii Five-0" season 7 episode 18 dubbed "E mālama pono" (Handle with Care) airs on Friday, Feb. 24, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
