According to TV Line, the executive producer of the series, Peter Lenkov, shared details about the romantic details of the sixth season. He explained that from the beginning of the season, fans will receive an unexpected surprise with the relationship of Steve and Catherine.

He explained, "We're going to be playing people's personal lives first and foremost, in terms of character arcs. We're doing a Valentine's Day episode which is going to really hammer home that theme."

With that, it has been speculated that the proposal will not go well. Fans are anticipating that the surprise Lenkov had referred to will be a turn for the worst in their relationship. However, not all will be centered on romance for the upcoming episode.

As for the investigation team, it was reported that the team will be handling a murder case of a scuba diver.

Another twist will be seen when they learn that the case will be related to another murder case through the weapon used. The team will realize that the diver was killed by a weapon used in another murder.

The synopsis reads,"While Five-0 investigates a scuba diver's death from a gun recently used in another murder, McGarrett prepares to propose to Catherine."

"Hawaii Five-O" season 6 airs every Friday.
