'Hawaii Five-O' Season 7 Spoilers: Catherine Returns But Not to Reconcile with Steve; Released Photo Shows Steve Hurt in Foot Chase
Catherine might be coming back, but not for Steve McGarrett
When "Hawaii Five-O" Season 7 returns, Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth) will once again cross paths with Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin). It will not be anything like what the fans of the pair are hoping for however. And, right at the start of the upcoming season, Steve will run into trouble with a vigilante.
Catherine returns but not for Steve
Spoilers for "Hawaii Five-O" Season 7 say that Catherine will indeed be returning to Hawaii for an entirely different reason and not because of her love life. It will be more work related according to EP Peter Lenkov, who was the one who broke the news to fans.
He added that the viewers should not interpret her return as coming back into her relationship with Steve or to start all over again with him. Lenkov added that with everything that the two have gone through, he cannot see a reconciliation happening. He further stressed that Catherine's comeback is plot driven and definitely not to reignite the relationship.
Serial killer-targeting vigilante
Meanwhile, two photos from "Hawaii Five-O" Season 7 have been revealed. The first one shows Steve in a foot chase. The second photo is still of Steve but this time with blood on his chest. He has been shot. According to spoilers, a vigilante targeting serial killers will be roaming the streets of Hawaii in the upcoming season.
Lenkov says that in the new season of "Hawaii Five-O", there is a story arc of Danny trying to get the liver transplant recipient, Steve, to slow down and appreciate the second chance he has been given. He quipped that with all the stuff that Steve McGarrett has been through in the series, it looked like he got more than a second chance, actually. More like a fifth or even a sixth chance.
With a vigilante on the loose, however, McGarrett will refuse to let up. But, he will start to question his mortality according to Lenkov. What he went through definitely affected him very much that he started to question the choices he has made in the past.
New and familiar faces
"Hawaii Five-O" Season 7 will be bringing in new faces as well as familiar ones aside from Michelle Borth. Rosalind Chao will play the new governor, Keiko Mahoe. Claire Forlani will portray the recurring role of a retired criminal profiler, Alicia.
A character from "Hawaii Five-O" Seasons 3 and 4, James Whistler (Chris Vance) will be back. A clever British MI6 agent who is at the same time a rich Egyptian businessman named Lucky (Faran Tahir) will come to Hawaii to make things more interesting than they already are.
The "Hawaii Five-O" season 7 premiere will be on September 23 on CBS.
