Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt Announce Birth of First Baby

Heidi Montag has given birth to her first child with husband Spencer Pratt.

Montag and Pratt are officially parents, the couple announced on Twitter Sunday. Their baby boy, Gunner Stone, measured 19 inches long. He was born at 3:06 p.m. and weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces.

The pair's rep revealed that Montag and Pratt are over the moon with their son's arrival, telling Us Weekly, "Heidi and Spencer are proud parents of a healthy baby boy as of this afternoon."

"We are so blessed to have a beautiful healthy baby boy," Montag added. "It was the hardest and most rewarding experience." Pratt also described the entire experience as "the most lit day" of his life.

Montag and Pratt are best known for starring in the MTV reality series, "The Hills." They tied the knot in November 2008. After announcing Montag's pregnancy in April 2017, the duo were thrown a baby shower to celebrate their bundle of joy in September.

Guests at the event included the duo's closest friends and family, such as Montag's mother Darlene and sister Holly. Former "Bachelorette" star Kaitlyn Bristowe and their fellow "The Hills" cast member Jen Bunney were also in attendance.

During Montag and Pratt's time on "The Hills," many viewers noticed that they were slowly becoming more disconnected from their co-stars and families. The final season saw the two celebrities preaching about the power of crystals, which did not go well with their castmates. They later appeared on the British reality program, "Celebrity Big Brother," where they garnered more attention.

Their fascination with crystals may be related to Pratt's recent tweet thanking a crystal store in California for "dropping off $27,000 in crystals for the birth."

In a previous interview with In Touch magazine, Pratt admitted that his wife will be the "disciplinarian" in their family. Montag also mentioned that she will have "zero tolerance" for tantrums once they have their own kids.
