'Heroes Of The Storm' News: Battle Arena Has Special Lunar New Year Offerings
To welcome the Lunar New Year on February 8, the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) "Heroes of the Storm" has something new to offer for its fans as well. According to a report in Tech Times, the New Year is bringing with it a new live event for the game, as well as the entry of a new hero.
The game's Lunar New Year event was announced lately with a video trailer that was widely released and is currently available on YouTube. According to the trailer, players of the free-to-play battle arena will be able to access a new special event quest once per day and this will appear in their quest log. This new quest will allow players to earn some more gold. Player teams, which are usually made up of up to five players, need to defeat a Monkey Elder in order for them to get a quest bonus of 100 gold. The Monkey Elder, when defeated, will drop a red envelope which contains the gold bonus.
Given that a match between player teams will only bring the winning team 30 gold for each match, the 100 bonus gold per day is a big deal, so this will be a very attractive event for all players. This event is available from now until March 1.

Another special treat for players is the entry of a new hero named Li-Ming. She is a character from "Diablo III" where she is also known as the "Rebellious Wizard." As a wizard, she can cast all kinds of spells especially ones that deal a deadly blow to her enemies. Players of "Diablo III" will know how much power she can wield, which she also brings to "Heroes of the Storm."
As for existing heroes, the report mentioned that updates will be brought in by the Lunar New Year, although these were not detailed fully.
With newly acquired gold, players can buy Lunar New Year-themed skins for Illidan and Jaina, as well as a special Chinese dragon mount. There will also be skins from last year's Lunar New Year event that will be available during this time.
