'Heroes of the Storm' News: Devs Detail New Volskaya Foundry Battleground, Complete With the Triglav Protector
The Triglav Protector will be controlled by two players
The new characters coming to "Heroes of the Storm" – Ana and Junkrat from "Overwatch" – may be the ones garnering the most headlines right now, but there is another notable addition fans may want to hear about.
Also coming soon to the game is the new battleground known as the Volskaya Foundry.
The foundry features three lanes and control points that players will have to get familiar with in a hurry. The control points in particular are ones that players will really want to hunt out as soon as possible as they can provide a huge advantage in battle.
If players manage to successfully capture a Control Point, they will be granted a reward in the form of the massive mech known as the Triglav Protector.
The Triglav Protector's different abilities have been detailed in a new video.
First off, the Protector can use the ability known as Charge to quickly close the gap on an opponent or to hit a structure on the battlefield. The Rocket Fist ability is one that can be used to keep an opponent still for a moment or to render an enemy structure useless for a short amount of time. Also included in the Triglav Protector's arsenal is Shield Emitter that is ideal for support purposes.
The abilities mentioned above will be controlled by the pilot of the Triglav Protector. There is room inside the Protector for another player, and this second individual will be designated as the gunner, according to a recent Battle Net post.
Among the abilities made available to the Gunner are the Particle Cannon, the Gatling Cannon and the Scorching Laser. All three are designed to deal significant damage to opponents.
The Triglav Protector has a chance to be a true game-changer, and this mech will likely be one that players will fight over whenever battles take place on the Volskaya Foundry.
"Heroes of the Storm" players should be able to hear more about the Volskaya Foundry in the near future.
