'Hitman' Beta Coming to PlayStation 4 on Feb. 12
"Hitman" beta is coming first to PlayStation 4 (PS4) on Feb. 12 ahead before it arrives on PC on Feb. 19.
Players who pre-order "Hitman" on either PS4 or PC can automatically access the beta version on their respective release. As for the Xbox One, no beta of the open world game has been announced yet, according to the International Business Times.
Those who pre-order "Hitman" on PS4 can get their hands on the Requiem pack, which includes a white suit, explosive rubber duck, silenced pistol, and other in-game items. Based on "The Director," the first of the exclusive "Sarajevo Six" contracts revealed, the first setting of the game will be in Paris, the report details.
It can be remembered that the pre-orders for "Hitman" was canceled last month after Square Enix and IO Interactive decided against releasing the game in full. Instead, they decided to make the game episodic, Tech Times reports.
Starting April, more "Hitman" locations and missions will come out every month. Some of the next locations are Italy, Morocco, Thailand, United States, and Japan. These releases constitute the first season of the episodic game.
In a PlayStation Blog entry, the episodic structure of the game was explained.
"The episodic nature of Hitman allows us to craft both individual stories centred on Agent 47's targets, as well as longer season stories involving 47, Diana Burnwood, the ICA and an entirely new main cast," the blog says. "The structure is inspired by contemporary TV series' and will unfold over multiple seasons."
In addition, PlayStation says the overall story of "Hitman" runs parallel with the stories in the individual missions. In the later part of season 1, both stories will begin to merge.
"Hitman" is slated for an official release on Mar. 11. The first set of the episodic game will come with a price tag of £15 ($22), which will include the base game and all missions that come with the Paris location.
